Feedback for Revising Economic Goals for Fostering Arts and Culture Group 2007/05/02 18:13 Karma: 0
The Fostering Arts and Culture steering committee is soliciting feedback and revision to its orginal long-term economic goals.

The Fostering the Arts and Culture Partnership project includes initial partners, Greenfield Community College, Franklin County Community Development Corporation, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Shelburne Falls Business Association, and Mass Country Roads, were joined in 2006 by the Franklin-Hampshire Regional Employment Board, the Greenfield Business Association, and River Culture in Turners Falls.

The current mission (also under revision) is to:
Increase the capacity of artists and arts-related organizations to work together to identify, define, and foster the creative economy and its uniqueness, strengthen the regional creative economy by promoting successful business practices and models, expand local and national markets, and develop collaborations between artists and businesses.

I hope you will join in this opportunity to help shape our direction and goals.
Thank you,
Leo Hwang-Carlos

Hi- Great work on this manifesto! Congratulations to all who have put so much time into it. I have a comment about the preamble, which is, I would like to see people of all abilities included. Could the last sentence include "people from all cultures, races, backgrounds and abilities?"
