~~~ My teaching philosophy is to help the student find his or her own unique process, style, and imagery. I offer thoughtful instruction on technique, composition, and color. I provide guidance to the next step of personal artistic development. In a typical class, you would be invited to bring your materials and the image or project you are working on. There is an average of 2 to 4 students who are working in different mediums, styles and are at different levels, from beginners to advanced.
~~~Student Quote: "Alicia’s classes are most delightful...her arts space is peaceful and filled with beautiful art and light. Alicia is great at guiding everyone in the class, no matter what medium or style they use. She is always most supportive, having a professional “eye” and gentle manner. Alicia has helped me tremendously to improve my painting (step by step) and has definitely encouraged me to find my own individual “style”. She is experienced to help both novices and advanced artists." Jenni Allard
