The Fostering Arts and Culture steering committee invites feedback and revision to its long-term economic goals.

The second goal currently reads:

Increase income to artists and arts related business. Providing on-going capacity-building resources for individual artists and arts businesses, developing a program for branding the region, and implementing a regional and national marketing strategy.

Proposed Revision to Long Term Goal 2.

To foster sustainability and increase income to artists and creative cluster businesses by developing on-going mechanisms for economic capacity-building, identifying, defining and categorizing components of the creative cluster in order to develop a regional identity, and implementing a planned regional and national marketing strategy to attract increased customer interest from both within and outside the region.

Additional Proposed Revision to Long Term Goal 2.

Develop a regional identity through identifying, defining and categorizing components of the creative cluster. Implement a planned regional and national marketing strategy to attract increased customer interest from both within and outside the region.

I'm wondering how implementing a regional marketing strategy might look for this partnership. To really be effective in that realm, I think we have a lot of growing to do with membership and participation.
